“I know there’s still a million things that you and I can do. Strange as it seems, these days that seem like bad dreams are only in the moment”

-Into The Park

Lyrics by Liam P. Mulligan

The Muses

William Albright, a struggling opera composer, finds that his muse, Laura, is suddenly engaged. Crushed by his unrequited love, William lets her go to begin a five-year search for closure filled with 8 doppelgänger “Lauras” based on the Greek Muses. In a change of fate, William returns home following the death of his father to find a widowed Laura who lives next door. With new opportunity and a lack of inspiration, will he write something new or crumble under the pressure?

Yours Truly

A college student battling cancer, Luke Silvestri, struggles to find the best use of his diminishing time when he suddenly is swept up into a new kind of crowd. After it seems like the world has turned against him and his purpose is more unclear than ever before, he must decide whether to let his condition end him or find the courage to prevail against all odds.

Symposium

Inspired by the Plato text of the same name, this play tracks the development and growth of four best friends at four unconventional parties across four seasons throughout their young adulthood. Over time, their philosophies and morals change as they adapt to the cold world they inhabited.

The Little Shores Trilogy

This trilogy of movie-parody musicals use comedy to aid in the cautionary tale of the dangers in adapting movies into musicals as a form of lazy writing. Using Jaws and Jurassic Park and the compositional style of Alan Menken and Stephen Sondheim, these three musicals, Little Shores of Horrors, Into The Park, and Beyond The Shore, where individually composed and written as a writing challenge in as little as 6 days to 17 days to prove a point.
